A Miller Bloodmobile is at Nativity four times during the year (once a quarter) on a Sunday morning to accept donations of blood from Nativity members. See the Current Events listed or the Calendar for the on-site blood drive schedule.  Our congregation has established an account with the Miller Memorial Blood Bank (Phone 800-223-6667).  If you want to donate blood either at their Cedar Crest or Bethlehem locations, you may ask them to credit your donation to Nativity Lutheran.   If you would like further details on Blood Drives or the Miller Blood Bank, please contact the Church Office  TOP

Donations earmarked for the Building Fund are being used for the Phase one "Growing Together" building program to provide a new sanctuary, narthex, choir and meeting room space.  This is the first of a multi-phase building plan to provide added facilities to accommodate congregational growth and out reach in the community.  See the Building Program section of this web site for more details. You can reach the CDC Office at 610-395-6267. The CDC hours during the regular school year are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5 PM.  Contact the CDC office for information on summer hours and services.  For more on-line information the CDC has established a Web Site at nlcdc.org     TOP

Poinsettia's may be sponsored for Christmas church services by using the sign up sheet available in the Narthex to sign up and indicate a dedication memorial.  Each sponsor may take home poinsettia's sponsored after the last service on Christmas.  Please contact the Church Office for the cost or refer to the sign up sheet in the Narthex.  Each sponsor should indicate the donation is for poinsettia's or greens on their regular Sunday offering envelope for return in the offering plate or to the Church OfficeTOP

Palms for Easter Season church services can be sponsored by using the sign up sheet available in the Narthex or by calling the Church Office to sign up and indicate a dedication memorial.  Please contact the Church Office for the cost or refer to the sign up sheet in the Narthex.  Each sponsor should indicate the donation is for Palms on their regular Sunday offering envelope for return in the offering plate or to the Church Office

Easter Flowers may also be sponsored for Easter Sunday church services by using the sign up sheet available in the Narthex to sign up and indicate a dedication memorial.  Each sponsor may take home any Easter flowers sponsored after the last service on Easter Sunday.  Please contact the Church Office for the cost or refer to the sign up sheet in the Narthex. The Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank is located at 6th. and Chew St. in Allentown.  It provides food weekly for those in need.  Nativity supports the Food Bank with offering donations directed by individual member contributions in your regular Sunday offering envelopes.  Members of Nativity also provide assistance at the food bank the 2nd. Monday and 4th Wednesday of each month.  Donations of non-perishable canned goods and boxed foods (no glass containers) can be deposited in the round bin outside the New Fellowship Hall. The Food bank is open from 9:30AM to Noon Daily and can be reached at 610-821-1332.  TOP

Geraniums may be sponsored for Pentecost Sunday church services by using the sign up sheet available in the Narthex to sign up and indicate a dedication memorial.  Each sponsor may take home geraniums sponsored after the last service on Pentecost.  Please contact the Church Office for the cost or refer to the sign up sheet in the Narthex. Our Nave sound system provides portable radio hearing assistance using an individual ear phone These portable devices are available at each Sunday service.  Ask the ushers for assistance to direct you to their location and use.  TOP 

In order to provide pastoral care when you or a family member enter any local hospital, upon admission please give them our church code, #261.  Please also contact the church office with admission dates.  Pastor will make hospital visits.  TOP 

Meals on Wheels provides two meals a day Monday through Friday to the homebound, elderly, or disabled persons. Nativity supports Meals on Wheels with offering donations directed by individual member contributions in your regular Sunday offering envelopes.  Members of Nativity also provide assistance at the Lehigh County Meals on Wheels at Cedar Brook once a month.  Lehigh County Meals on Wheels can be reached at 610-398-2563  TOP

All confirmed members of Nativity are mailed donation envelopes once a month.  Each mailing also contains a mailing envelope if you want to mail your donations to Nativity.  Please contact the Church office if you are not receiving your envelopes.  You also have the option of suspending the monthly mailing if you provide your donations by an alternative method (Simply Giving direct deposit, loose check in offering plate, mail, etc.). Contact the Church office if you would like to suspend receiving monthly mailings of donation envelopes.  Your original envelope number will be retained for your use in the church system if you suspend receiving home mailings of envelopes. Note the deadline to suspend (or resume) envelope mailing is the first of each month for the next month.  Example -  you must let us know by April 1st to receive (or suspend) envelopes in the mail for the month of May. The Nativity Newsletter is published each month and includes current news in the congregation, upcoming activities, the worship schedule, Child Development Center news, Youth Info, Music Programs and rehearsal schedules, Current events of committees, Synod News, Birthdays and Anniversaries for the month, a complete meeting schedule for the month and a list of volunteers for the month.   Contact the Church Office to obtain a copy or submit an idea or information for an article in the newsletter.  The deadline to submit news for the newsletter is the third Monday of the month. New member classes are available for families or individuals wishing to join Nativity. Contact the Church Office for more detail.  TOP 

Parking is available at the rear of the building.  You may stop at the NAVE entrance to drop off passengers requiring assistance into the church building on Sunday mornings.  TOP 

The Simply Giving program is an alternative way of contributing to the stewardship of Nativity by having regular donations deposited into Nativity's account through direct deposit by your banking institution.  This provides convenient regular giving throughout the year.  Please contact the Church Office or the Church Financial Secretary for additional details. Print Simply Giving form ( Simply Giving Form )  and return to Church Office.  TOP 

Summer worship hours are Sunday at 8:00 AM and Sunday at 10:00 AM.   Services are in our air conditioned NAVE. See Worship Hours for non-summer hours.  TOP 

Sunday altar flowers can be sponsored by using the signup sheet available in the Narthex or by contacting the Church Office to sign up and indicate a dedication memorial.  Flowers are distributed to hospitalized or people at home at the end of Sunday services.   The cost is $37.05 per Sunday. If two people would like to share a Sunday sponsorship, each person will be billed $18.52.  Each sponsor will be billed directly by Phoebe Floral after the Sunday Service when the flowers were provided.  TOP

The Nursery is available during Sunday services for children ages 5 and under. The children will be brought into the church service during any children's sermons.  TOP

Vacation Bible school for 2010 will be held at Cedar Lutheran Church on Monday July 12th. through Thursday July 16th. at 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM with dinner at 5:30 PM.  The location has been moved to Cedar due to construction this summer at Nativity.  We are looking for individuals interested in being a part of a fun-filled, excitement packed, entertaining event this summer.  We are searching for help with all age levels as well as people to assist in music, arts and crafts, recreation and snack preparation.  Contact Nativity at the Church Office TOP
